            <p id="isPasted"><strong>The Role</strong><br><br>We are looking for a Lecturer who can work together with our existing team to deliver and evolve our undergraduate Character Design and Concept Art course. Our expanded portfolio of Design courses has resulted in staff movement and so we now need additional staff to deliver in this growing area for Ravensbourne.</p><p>Sitting within the Design department, our Character Design and Concept Art course needs a candidate who has undergraduate teaching experience and a proven track record of a student-first approach. The ideal candidate has some industry experience working in the fields of illustration, animation and wider commercial art with a knowledge of the industry pipeline in the creative industries. Working successfully with and within a team is a high priority. A practical and hands-on teaching style is essential.</p><p>The role is in the region of 21 hours per week in our Design department, running modules, and developing an engaging curriculum whilst working alongside a range of disciplines both within the design department and with other departments (such as Animation and Illustration).</p><p>At Ravensbourne University London, we are focused on preparing students for industry. This means working to high standards with complex and evolving technology and being familiar with the direction of the industry. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a newly established animation course and make a vital contribution to content development and delivery. Animation is a key part of our Design School. We aim to expand the pool of talent working with our brilliant and ambitious students in this dynamic area.</p><p>This role includes teaching 2D animation across all levels in our Design department, designing, leading and delivering modules, and helping to develop an engaging curriculum whilst working alongside a range of connected disciplines within the design department (such as Character Design and Illustration).</p><p>We are open to applicants looking for a full-time role, as well as to applicants looking to share the role on a fractional basis (0.6/0.4).</p><p>At Ravensbourne University London, we are focused on preparing students for industry.
