The role

As Head of Academic Administration and Student Engagement you will lead our academic administration and student engagement teams to ensure efficient and effective delivery of administrative support to academic departments and oversee implementation and continual improvement of the university’s attendance and engagement regulations and related support for students. This role works with key staff across the University and to deliver a professional and strategically focused service for academic departments and supports and enhances the student experience and engagement.

The candidate

Our ideal candidate will have experience of managing administrative teams and attendance and engagement monitoring in higher education, ensuring compliance with related UKVI regulations. They will thrive working in a fast-paced environment, leading and motivating teams to provide an excellent and compliant service for both staff and students. They will be a skilled people manager with experience of change management and implementing and improving processes. Along with an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, they’ll have specialist knowledge of regulatory requirements around attendance and engagement monitoring and an understanding of the broader HE sector.
