The role
We are seeking to recruit an innovative and dynamic educator to lead the Fashion and Textiles Pathway on the Foundation Course. The successful candidate will be highly knowledgeable about Fashion Design and Textiles and conscious of the process from research, through to design, culture and marketing. The role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the wider foundation department and work amongst a creative team.
The candidate
We are looking for an applicant that is confident in creating and securing industry links, promoting creative collaboration and can demonstrate significant professional knowledge gained at industry level. They will have a degree in Fashion Design or Textiles, with a good understanding of making and pattern cutting. Knowledge of Fashion Buying, Fashion Business, Fashion Communication and Styling are skills we would highly value. The applicant will be confident in working with large cohorts of diverse students and demonstrate a strong teaching record. We require a candidate who exhibits an enthusiasm for shaping young people’s career aspirations in the fashion industry. The candidate will have a high level of communication skills and shows proficiency in creative problem solving.
