The role: 

At Ravensbourne we are looking for a Secretariat Manager to support our Senior Executive Team and lead the secretariat team. 

This role will require a flexible and highly organised individual to manage diaries, workflow, respond to emails, and keep track of reports, actions and deadlines. The Secretariat Manager will have experience of working with senior professionals, managing a team and  be comfortable facilitating meetings and taking minutes. 

You will need to be self-motivated, calm when working to tight deadlines also an experienced multi-tasker, anticipating needs and juggling competing priorities.  The post sits within the Secretariat team so being a collaborator is also an key part of the role, maintaining a positive ‘can-do’ attitude in an ever-changing landscape is key.

You will develop and coach the  Secretariat team,  providing direction, establishing priorities and promoting services of the team to the Executive.

This role is offered as maternity cover  initially for  6 months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months.

Skills

You have 

    Previous experience of managing a developing team 

    Previous experience of facilitating meetings and taking minutes.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    An ability to prioritise, plan and organise work and meet deadlines efficiently.

    An ability to work with a high degree of flexibility and autonomy, tackling new areas of work with confidence. 

    Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential matters, in a discreet and confidential manner.

   Good working knowledge of Office 365
