The role 

We are currently looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our Technical Services department. The role provides management of the Workshop, Printshop and Fashion Atelier spaces and leadership of the teams working within them.

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Technical Services to deliver an efficient, customer focused, technically knowledgeable and safe service that that is aligned to and enhances the student experience and delivers maximum benefit for all users.

The candidate

The ideal candidate has a strong background in managing a 3D workshop supporting model making, prototyping and fabrication. They will have expertise in both traditional and digital manufacturing processes and have a proven track record in developing technical resources and driving best practice.

They will have excellent people management skills and be driven to develop a cohesive team culture. They will be able to lead teams that are professional, customer service focused and committed to development and continuous improvement

They will have a proven track record of leading on Health and Safety management, creating a culture of best working practices and ensuring safe, compliant and welcoming spaces that inspire confidence in their users.
