Based in London&rsquo;s Design District in the heart of North Greenwich, we are home to a diverse, global community in one of the world&rsquo;s most vibrant business and creative hubs.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p id="isPasted">We are looking to recruit a part-time Student Support Officer who will help manage student enquiries during weekday afternoons and evenings as part of the Student Services Team.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>You will alongside a fellow Student Support Officer from 2.30pm-8pm on the Student Helpdesk within the Ravensbourne campus, as well as supporting other locations in our buildings. You will be working Monday to Thursday each week and this is a 0.6 FTE role.<br>Please note, the hours for this role are fixed and Ravensbourne&#39;s flexible working hours policy does not apply to this role.</p><p>You will be the face of Student Services during evening teaching and respond to queries from students who visit the Helpdesk. You will also be expected to provide administrative support to the team.</p><p>We are looking for a professional, supportive and welcoming presence to help students studying in the evening feel connected to the support and processes at Ravensbourne University London.</p><p><strong>The Candidate</strong></p><p>The successful candidate will have a good telephone manner and written English skills. It is essential that you demonstrate your ability to support customer needs and communicate in an effective and clear manner. Your will have expertise in implementing performance frameworks, such as KPIs, in order to support an increase in value of reporting and a maturing of our processes.</p><p>Beyond technical capability, you will be a confident communicator who can translate complex information into compelling narratives for senior stakeholders. As the first point of contact for day-to-day health, safety, environmental and first aid queries, you&rsquo;ll play a key role in ensuring our campus is safe, compliant, and welcoming for students, staff, visitors, and contractors.</p><p>You will manage a range of administrative tasks, maintain essential records, support health, safety &amp; environmental processes, coordinate inductions and provide efficient first aid support across the building. Working closely with colleagues across Estates &amp; Facilities and wider university teams, your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing and success of everyone who uses our campus.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type="disc"><li>Act as the first point of contact for first aid provision for students and staff.</li><li>Manage incoming health, safety &amp; environmental tasks, risk assessments and reports across all university sites.</li><li>Use our in-house system (TOPdesk) to schedule, track and manage activities.</li><li>Maintain contractor documentation, inductions and compliance records.</li><li>Support the production of health, safety &amp; environmental reports, including DSE, pregnancy, PEEPs and individual needs assessments.</li><li>Organise and minute the Health, Safety &amp; Wellbeing Committee.</li><li>Ensure accurate accident reporting and support RIDDOR processes.</li><li>Manage first aid rooms, supplies, medication logs and grab bags.</li><li>Liaise with internal teams, external agencies and healthcare professionals as required.</li><li>Support new employee health safety &amp; environmental induction processes and training bookings.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The Candidate</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>You will bring a positive, customer‑focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of teams. As a member of the IT Services leadership team, provide support to the Chief Information Offices and deputise where appropriate in defining applications and data strategies that deliver outstanding staff and student experience.
